Prof. Naomie salim, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia

Naomie Salim is a passionate lecturer who not only focuses on teaching but also participates actively in research. She has over 30 years of working experience and has produced various scientific research publications, as well as supervised over 100 undergraduate and postgraduate students. 50 PhD students have graduated under her supervision. Her area of expertise ranges from Information Retrieval, Database Systems, Chemical Informatics, Text Mining to Big Data.

She has received various awards and honors throughout her career. She has been awarded the Malaysian Academy of Science Top Research Scientist 2020, the Indexed Journal Publication Award at Citra Karisma, by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) for eleven consecutive years (2012-2023). In 2016, Citra Karisma best research in 2012 and 2015. She won Gold Medal for best research group (SCRG) in the school. She was also nominated as one of the top three finalists for SEARCC International Awards in Australia. Her research products has won many invention competition including Gold Medals at Pecipta and i-Inova. Her research and consultantatuinnhas benefited many industries such as MMHE, JCorp, MAMPU and SSM.
